- Driving around town till midnight looking at Christmas lights
- Complaining about mom and dad being to picky with the christmas tree at Home depot/Lowes.
- Real/big christmas trees
- Picking out a tree at home depot and lowes
- Waking up to a giant tree that lit the whole living room
- Having to make two trips and borrow my Grandparents SUV to get all our present back to our house.
- The windows being all fogged up while half asleep at 10pm on the way to my grandparent’s house
- Seeing my Family
- Being super busy
- Leaving the tree up till
- Having to walk like 20 feet longer before seeing the christmas tree in the morning than just having to turn once to see it.
- Having three or for christmas parties, and “christmas mornings” with different people
- It raining/sleeting while going out at 8:00 to shop
- Christmas songs on the radio, and not trance and pop

more are coming…

well, i’m on break, however, it’s nearing its end. i’ve done absolutely nothing and it feels good. =D I have no idea what this blog is about, or what it will be about, so beware for just rambling. I suppose the reason i’m not posting or working on this site as much is because of the lack of comments, when i post blogs i like to get feedback so i know people read them. Please when you read my blog just leave a comment saying hi or whatever you’d like, it would be greatly appreciated.

I haven’t really been up to anything other than school. I’ve been kinda bored because many of my friends are gone on furlough or busy with school. I right now only have two friends (that are boys) here, and have been unable to hang out with them all week. In about an hour or so I will be going to youth group, so i hope i will be able to arrange something for the weekend, so i can make a good exit to my break.

I haven’t heard from people at the church in a while from back home, I’d like to talk to you guys sometime.

Maybe i’ll add more about this weekend as i think about it, but for now, later!

Even after a 10 hour car there and a 16 hour car ride back, LIFE was definitely worth the trip. I experienced some amazing things throughout that week, and enjoyed it very, very much. Every day there were many activities, great main sessions, helpful seminars following the sessions, and great bands. In the activities hall there were a lot of various things to do, such as: bouncy toys (many kinds), foosball, DDR, as well as several other sports and video games. The sessions were amazing. The atmosphere was awesome with steam and flashing lights, as if you were in a concert. There was a main worship band called “The Swift” that I enjoyed a lot and had some good songs. However the band I enjoyed the most is one that did not play as much called Eleventyseven. They were more my style of music. My favorite speaker was definitely Francis Chan. He was a great story teller and speaker for the conference. The best seminar for me was the last one that I attended, called “Experiencing Intimacy with Christ”. I learned a lot this week. In the “Experiencing Intimacy with Christâ€? seminar I learned how you need to figure out what makes you ‘tick’, so that you can know what manner you want to spend time with the Lord. A majority of the sessions talked about how we are not a mistake, and that we were made for a purpose. The one that I enjoyed the most was the final message that Francis Chan did. He spoke about imagining how much the Holy Father loves the Son, which is unimaginable. But that is how much the Son loves us, which I really thought was cool. Another thing that I was amazed by is that fact that 7500 kids gave almost $115,000 to an African fund. I thought that was amazing. There was something this week that made me think, and notice heavily. I see how selfish and spoiled we Americans can be and it makes me almost not want to live here at all. I don’t mind visiting, but why do I want to live here when there are so many people suffering around the world? Overall I think that LIFE was an amazing experience, and I look forward to the next one in three years. I want to thank every single one that contributed and prayed for me while I was there. I am very, very grateful and may God bless you. P.S.—I forgot my camera so as friends send me pictures I will put them on my website. Check it regularly!
There are some videos from LIFE on there right now!

One more thing, i would highly recommend listening to the messages, you can do that at www.life2007.org.

Well, its once again been a while since i blogged…hehe. A lot of exciting things have been happening recently xD. I suppose i’ll start from the beginning…First my family got up at some unheard of hour to go to the airport to fly to China. Which was interesting exspecailly the take off. The runway is like this: 747’s, nice planes, ok planes, worrysome planes, pretty bad planes, helicopters…i think…, scrapyard….anyway, (lol) it was a good flight and we got to china with no problems. After that we went to our hotel and waited for my grandparents to arrive from the states, which felt like forever. The brightside to that is that i got to eat at mcdonalds!!!!!!!! it was awesome…i hadn’t had it in forever…i had two burgurs, two larges fries and a pie….mmmm….The next day we went to the summer palace which was ok, but rather boring. I enjoyed the scenery though. Throughout the trip we went several places that were interesting, but taking a ski lift up to the great wall, and then went down on a luge. It was awesome, the scenery and the fact that i was standing on somethign that could be older than when Jesus was born. which is pretty cool. I had a lot of fun being with my grandparents and going to China. After that we went back to Mongolia, but this time with our grandparents. They were here for a week and we did a few things with them. But while they were here I had to say bye to a really good friend that is leaving for a while, Andy. I miss him and i can’t wait to see him again…

Anyway, my grandparents left after about spending 2 weeks with them, and i hope they come back to see us cause it’s always good to have someone visit us. So come see us people! Thanks for readin’ this, and be sure to comment!

TWO MORE WEEKS TILL SUMMER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (poo on exams though…-_-)

Hi everybody, i have not written a post in a long time, so i suppose i will give a small update on life in outer Mongolia! As of right now it is weekend and i have a slight cold which kept me from going to school yesterday ^_^. However i am getting better and i don’t mind laying around the house. The last few months i have started going to a soccer club with some of my friends from the youth group and i am really starting to enjoy it. I have been improving my skills and i really hope to practice this summer when the snow actually melts! Speaking of that it has been unseasonly warm the last two weeks and it feels really nice, not to hot, not to cold. I geuss i’m done blabbing, i wanna remind everybody to look at my discussion page to the right and ask me questions or whatnot with other people. GO MEMPHIS!

Hey guys, this is a letter that i have typed, it is requesting you donate money for me to be able to go Life. This will be in your email inboxes, but i thought i would put it on my website just for kicks. Here you go:

Dear Friends and Family,

For those of you that don’t know me, let me introduce myself. My name is Jonathan Anderson and I am 14 years old. My family are missionaries to Mongolia. I lived in Franklin, Tennessee all of my life. My dad was a pastor at Faith Community Church until my mom and dad were called to Mongolia. Living in the same place all my life made leaving very hard. However I am starting to settle in and make some Christian friends at a youth group I go to.

The Reason for this letter is regarding a youth conference called Life. This takes place every three years. This is the first year that I am old enough to attend. Life is a conference that teenagers, thirteen through eighteen can attend. It is a time to worship and grow closer to God; to help with church planting, and make friends. This is an experience that I would love to have.

Here is a link for Life if you are unfamiliar with it: www.life2007.com

While I look forward to seeing friends and family again, there is a far higher and more important reason that I have for going on this trip. That is my relationship with God. In Mongolia I go to a non-Christian school, with very, very few Christians. Combining this with living in a non-Christian culture and attending a Mongolian-speaking church there are very few opportunities to really worship God.

I know that in spite of all on what is around me, I am responsible for my own walk with God. I regret that, I have had little time with God while on break from school, not because I haven’t had time, but either because I forgot, or didn’t feel like it. I don’t want that to be what I am like, a Christian that hardly has a quiet time. That’s why I want to go to life, to learn more about God and have refreshing experiences that will fuel my desire to be with God. I have heard from other friends that it is a moving experience.

Life takes place on July 3-7 in Orlando, Florida. Because minors are not allowed to travel alone international, my mom will be accompanying me. While I have been saving money for some time I am unable to cover financially to cover my costs. I would ask that you prayerfully consider supporting us so that we can make this trip. Your tax deductible donations can be made out to Faith Community Church and sent to:

1200 Columbia Ave.
Franklin, TN 37064

For even more information on me and my family go to our website: www.remembermongolia.org or www.remembermongolia.org/jonathan

Thank you very much for your time,

Sincerely,

Jonathan Isaac Anderson
